Marcus Theatres® to Honor Vendor Partners of Excellence at Spring Leadership Conference

Winners Selected for Impact on Marcus Theatres’ Continued Growth

MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar. 8, 2017-- Marcus Theatres®, a division of The Marcus Corporation (NYSE:MCS), has announced its Vendor Partners of Excellence for 2016. Each partnering organization will receive the award in person at Marcus Theatres’ Spring Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida, on March 8. The 2016 honorees include STX Entertainment, Screenvision Media, PepsiCo, Edward Don & Company, Royal Corporation and Thomas-Grace Construction.

The company selected its Vendor Partners of Excellence based on the substantial contributions they’ve made to Marcus Theatres’ business during 2016 and beyond.

“Last year was a record-breaking year for our company. We owe much of that success to our vendors, who are as committed to the business as we are,” said Rolando Rodriguez, chairman, president and CEO of Marcus Theatres. “From our state-of-the-art facilities to our high-quality food and beverage offerings to the movies themselves, we could not present a best-in-class experience without these invaluable partnerships.”

STX Entertainment has been named Studio Partner of the Year in honor of its strong film product, creative marketing efforts and innovative approach to the film and exhibition industries. Similarly, Screenvision Media will be recognized for its partnership that enabled Marcus Theatres to achieve significant year-over-year growth in on-screen advertising revenue from 2015 to 2016. Both STX and Screenvision have provided a strong on-screen complement to the premier entertainment experience at Marcus Theatres.

In addition, the company will present awards to three organizations that enhance the circuit’s food and beverage experience. PepsiCo, an exclusive partner for more than 20 years, was selected for its innovative and expansive line-up of beverage offerings, new technology like the interactive Pepsi Spire 5.0 platform, and exclusive marketing programs including a Super Bowl giveaway for a Marcus Theatres fan. Edward Don & Company, a distributor of food equipment and supplies, will be honored for its impact and ability to grow with Marcus Theatres’ food and beverage business, which has expanded from just a handful of locations in late 2012 to more than 30 outlets circuitwide. In addition, Royal Corporation will be recognized for its partnership in maintaining clean equipment and facilities that contribute to a consistently positive guest experience.

Finally, Marcus Theatres will present Thomas-Grace Construction with a Vendor Partner of Excellence award for its shared leadership in several multi-million dollar renovations. A long-term partnership has enabled the two companies to completely transform many Marcus Theatres locations into state-of-the-art entertainment destinations under aggressive timelines, including the construction of a brand new theatre opening this spring.
